Here we have it folks: The accomplishment I never thought would end up winning first-place.
Suffice to say, there were a few tears of joy when I was contacted with the information that this painting had won 1st place in Resene’s annual mural competition.
This mural took many weeks of grueling work. A great deal of effort was put into the smaller details (the amount of research conducted was no joke). I met to converse with a range of knowledgeable Franklin residents in research of the design, working closely with the Pukeoware hall committee to make it a reality.
Without the committee this wouldn’t have happened. So, thanks team! You guys rock.
I didn’t expect my painting to end up winning, it is still mind-blowing that it did!
